Sat, 11 Oct 2008 12:21:00 PDT
There's yet to be any official confirmation that the upcoming Diablo 3 will be released on anything other than the PC, but according to recent comments made by Blizzard president Mike Morhaime, it certainly seems like they're strongly considering console versions of the highly anticipated sequel at some point in the future.
TGS 08: Microsoft May Not Stick to Spring/Fall 360 Updates
Sat, 11 Oct 2008 11:22:00 PDT
The New Xbox Experience (which you can read all about right here) is bringing the most substantial changes to the Xbox 360's dashboard yet seen -- which is a good thing, because it may be the last major update we see for a while. At the Tokyo Game Show earlier this week (via Kotaku), Xbox Live corporate vice president John Schappert said Microsoft may move away from the strict schedule of spring and fall 360 updates that they've traditionally stuck to in the past.
TGS 08: Resident Evil: Degeneration Makes World Wide Premier
Sat, 11 Oct 2008 03:57:00 PDT
Capcom and Sony Pictures presented the world premier of their feature-length CG movie Resident Evil: Degeneration at the Tokyo Game Show Friday. Set seven years after the events in Raccoon City that anchored the survival horror franchise, the film stars regulars Leon Kennedy and Claire Redfield. Headed to the showing I wasn't really sure what to expect, but never would I have expected it to provide as many answers that help stitch together the story line and get things in order going into the upcoming Resident Evil 5 as it does (and they even showed a little teaser from the game at the end to underscore the connections).
Alone in the Dark PS3 Getting New Title To Match Improvements
Fri, 10 Oct 2008 18:20:00 PDT
When Alone in the Dark was released a few months back, it fell pretty well short of our expectations. While the fire dynamics and elaborate set pieces set the game apart from other survival horror titles, they were hampered by nagging design flaws and control issues -- check out 1UP's review of the 360 version for full details on that. Luckily though, Atari has not turned a blind eye to these issues when it comes to the upcoming PS3 port of the game. The company has announced that the next version of the game is addressing so many of the original release's known problems that it warrants a new title: Alone in the Dark: Inferno.
