The Shadows are an ancient race of beings that dedicated to the ideals that chaos is what promotes growth, advancement, and evolution.
Biological Description := When visible, a Shadow is an insect-like organism with a spiky, violet-black carapace. Their advanced understanding of the nature of matter allow them to "phase;" making them visible only to obscure bandwidths of the E-M spectrum.
Society Description := Very little is known about the actual structure of Shadow society, it is unknown whether it is organized into anything that most people would recognize as a "government". The Shadow society is more theocratic than anything else. The leader of the Shadows is referred to as the "Pale and Silent King" and has a white carapace, whereas most Shadows, when fully physical on this plane, are a dark color. The Pale and Silent King is surrounded by the "Priests of the Fallen Midnight."
General History Description := While they have no clear domain, the Shadows' homeworld of Z'ha'dum is a subject of whispered interest, as no one who has ever set foot on the planet has returned the same, or at all. Virtually invincible, Shadow vessels are based on organic technology. A living being serves as the central processing unit of the vessel, giving it incredible control and maneuverability.
