The Borg are a pseudo-race of cybernetic beings, or cyborgs.
Biological Description := An immensely powerful race of enhanced humanoids, The Borg implant themselfs with cybernetic devices, giving them great technological and combat capabilities. Different Borgs are equipped with different hardware for specific tasks. Each Borg is tied into a sophisticated subspace communications network, forming the Borg collective, in which the idea of the individual is a meaningless concept. The Borg exhibit a high degree of intelligence and adaptability in their tactics.
Society Description := The Borg believe that their collective nature is inherently superior to the disorganized and chaotic nature of individuality. The Borg believe that perfection should be the primary goal of all societies and that through assimilation, they will be helping others achieve this. Once they have assimilated the best of what the galaxy has both the organic and technological to offer, they will have reached the highest state of perfection possible. All species that resist assimilation are either overpowered or destroyed. Any species that would not contribute to the Collective is thought of as unnecessary and is simply destroyed.
General History Description := The Collective's primary goal was to bring order to chaos, to achieve biological and technological perfection by assimilating unique and more advanced attributes from other races, and at the same time help share the Borg's increasing perfection by adding said assimilated species to the Collective. The history of the Collective stretches back deep into the history of the galaxy. In their long existence the Borg gained a reputation as a near force of nature which, as they tell perspective assimilation targets, it would be futile to resist. Following the creation of the Collective the Borg continued to enhance and improve themselves, becoming true cyborgs, removing all emotions and focusing their hive minded efforts on the single goal of turning the chaotic universe into a structured, perfect whole.
