This utility converts NFS3: Hot persuit Cars/Files to NFS4: High Stakes Cars/Files. It can also convert the other direction allowing you to use NFS4 cars in NFS3.

Installation
Run HSEdit.exe without any arguments. At its first start it'll install itself.
If you installed HSEdit already and want to reinstall it start Uninstall.reg
first.
Use
Every folder has got in its context menu one new entry:
Pack to new VIV Click this to pack all the content of
the folder in a new viv file named like
the folder.
Every viv file has got in its context menu five new entries:
Extract to new folder Click this to extract all its content
to a new folder named like the viv
file.
Convert to NFS3 Click this to convert the file to a
NFS3-compatible file with a vi3
extension.
Convert to NFS3 and install Click this to convert the file and
install it into your NFS3 folder.
Convert to NFS4 Click this to convert the file to a
NFS4-compatible file with a vi4
extension.
Convert to NFS4 and install Click this to convert the file and
install it into your NFS4 folder.
Every fce file has got in its context menu two new entries:
Convert to NFS3 Click this to convert the file to a
NFS3-compatible file with a fc3
extension.
Convert to NFS4 Click this to convert the file to a
NFS4-compatible file with a fc4
extension.
Every fedata file has got in its context menu two new entries:
Convert to NFS3 Click this to convert the file to a
NFS3-compatible file with a en3, ge3 or
a similar extension.
Convert to NFS4 Click this to convert the file to a
NFS4-compatible file with a en4, ge4 or
a similar extension.
Every carp file has got in its context menu two new entries:
Convert to NFS3 Click this to convert the file to a
NFS3-compatible file with a tx3
extension.
Convert to NFS4 Click this to convert the file to a
NFS4-compatible file with a tx4
extension.
Problems
If the tool crashes with an error message about MFC42.dll or MSVCRT.dll
download the newest version from http://homepages.go.com/~cheatworld2000/mfc42.zip
or http://homepages.go.com/~cheatworld2000/msvcrt.zip respectively. If you find
a bug please send me a detailled description of it and your system to me.
