Endless Forest creators have released a video for their new horror game, The Path.
Belgo-American game developer Tale of Tales, well known for their original multiplayer game The Endless Forest, have a new project in development. The Path is inspired by fairy tales, but this time designers Auriea Harvey and Michael Samyn examine the dark side of the stories. What really happened to Little Red Ridinghood in those dark and scary woods?
A first glimpse into what this new single player game will become, is offered in the teaser video released at the occasion of the Game Developers Conference in San Francisco last week. It showcases one of the playable characters in the game and reveals some of its premise:
"Will you take the path of needles... or the path of pins?"
The music in the video is composed by industrial music diva Jarboe, as will the complete soundtrack of the game.
At this time, the creators are still reluctant to release much information about the game. Their design process is very iterative and things may change as the development continues.
