=== 1. Installing and running the mod ===
-----------------------------------------
First of all make sure you have patched Max Payne to version 1.05 or higher, otherwise the game might crash
while trying to load the mod. Then just unzip the mod and put the .mpm-file into your MaxPayne-folder (for
instance "c:maxpaynematrixed_reality_v1.0.mpm"). When you start Max Payne now, choose Matrixed Reality to
be the active mod.
---------------------------------------

- OICW
- KG9 (single and dual)

Also included in this mod:
- Kung Fu 2.0 (by Kenneth Yeung)
- Select Level 1.2 (by Jim Myhrberg)
----------------------------------------------
=== 3. Bugfixes and changes in version 1.1 ===
----------------------------------------------
The following bugs of version 1.0 have been fixed now:
- Fixed the console-commands (getallweapons, coder and getinfiniteammo are now working correct)
- You cannot move Neo in the intro-sequence of the construct anymore
- Neo doesn't loose his sunglasses in the cutscenes anymore
- Fixed the reload-animation for the USP Match
- During the bullet-dodge, the enemy really cannot hurt you now
- In the construct one telephone was linked to the wrong level ("The Dee Six"), that's fixed now
Changes from version 1.0 to version 1.1:
- Changed the music for Bullet-Time
- Bullet-Time-Music stops after Bullet-Time now (and not after the shootdodge)
- Replaced the old HK PDW with the one from Dodge This (made by SnAp, thanks to that direction)
- The sequence of the jumpkick should work better now
- Weapons aren't that powerful anymore
- IMI T.A.R. has a sharper skin now
- more decals
-------------------------------
=== 4. How to play this mod ===
-------------------------------
There are two ways to begin playing Matrixed Reality: In the menu you can either click on "Start Matrixed Reality"
or on "Hack into the matrix". When you choose the first one, the game will load "the construct". After a short
intro-sequence you can collect a LOT of weapons (also the new ones) and then enter a green room with telephones.
When you stand in front of a telephone, a message will appear, telling you to which level the telephone is connected
to. When you have found the map you want to play, press the use-button and it will be loaded.
Instead you can also click on "Hack into the matrix", which opens the menu of Select Level 1.2. There you choose a
difficulty and click on the level you want to play. But then you have to use cheats to get the new weapons
('getallweapons' or 'coder').
Using the new moves:
- The new shootdodge:
The new shootdodge consists of several stylish moves. You use it like to original shootdodge, but Neo will make
different moves than in the original game. When you for instance dodge to the left- or right-side, Neo will make
a no-handed cartwheel while he is shooting at his enemies. Just try the different directions and you will see the
moves.
After the shootdodge Neo will not fall on the ground (like Max does it), so you don't have to stop shooting at your
enemies. It's also possible to kill five or even more enemies at once within one shootdodge.
- The bullet-dodge:
When you stand in front of an enemy and he is shooting at you, you can dodge the bullets by jumping backwards (or
by activating Kung Fu Mode and pressing right mouse-button plus backwards). When you do this, Neo will begin to
dodge the bullets like he does in the movie. During this move the enemy shouldn't be able to hurt you (though
sometimes they do due to a bug in Max Payne, depending on which gun the enemy uses), so this is in a way useful
for gameplay ;). It's especially cool when you first activate bullet-time and wait until the enemy begins to shoot
at you and then start the bullet-dodge. When you have luck, the enemy will have to reload his weapon when you have
finished the bullet-dodge, and then...
- The new jumpkick:
Activate Kung Fu Mode (see the documentation of Kung Fu 2.0 for information about how to use Kung Fu) and run towards
an enemy. When you stand in front of him, press crouch-button for a short time and release the button again. Neo will
begin to make a kick, and when you hit an enemy with this move, a nice sequence will be played ;).
