Quest Award Leveller v1.0.1

Based on Namegduf Live's Quest Award Leveling This mod makes level-scaled rewards from quests be upgraded to their higher versions as you reach the level for those versions. The items, spells, and sigil stones you get as rewards for many quests in the game are scaled to your level. Some of the these rewards are among the best items in the game... but only if you do the quest at a high level. Otherwise, you get stuck with a scaled-down version, often one that is no good later in the game, and lose out on one of the best items in game. For example, if you were to get an item with level 1, 5, 10, and 15 versions at level 4, you would get the weakest (level 1) version. Normally, you are stuck with that, and the higher versions of the reward, often among the best items in the game, are lost forever. Same if you do the quest at levels 5 or 10 - you still lose out on getting the best item. The only way to get the best item is to do the quest at the latest time possible. This plugin, however means you can do the quest at any time, as when you go up to the level for a different version of the item, the item is upgraded to that version. Now you aren't punished for doing a quest too soon. For example, the Escutcheon of Chorrol shield. It has level 1, 5, 10, 15, 20, and 25 versions. If you do that quest at level 10 (or 11, 12, 13, or 14), you would normally miss out on the level 15, level 20, and level 25 versions. This plugin means that when you reach level 15, if the item is in your inventory, it is upgraded to the level 15 version. Same at level 20 and level 25. You don't miss out on the high-level versions. Why use Quest Award Leveller instead of Namegduf Live's mod? Well things I didn't like about Namegduf Live's mod was the fact there are big scripts constantly running in the background all the time doing mostly nothing and the second esp for Finger of the Mountain Levelling... to solve these I created an inventory item to interface with the item levelling allowing you to control all aspects of it. Upon loading your game up for the first time after installing this mod an item called Quest Award Leveller will be automatically added to your inventory, you'll find it in the misc area of your inventory. Clicking on it will allow you to access it's options menu which has the following things you can do: Auto Level: toggle Auto Level on/off (on by default), when Auto Level is on all levelled items currently in your inventory will be checked to see if they need upgrading when you yourself gain a new level. Level Finger of the Mountain: toggle levelling of the spell called Finger of the Mountain on/off (off by default), the higher versions of this spell a impossible to cast unless you have a mod that fixes it or use cheats. Level Wizard's Fury: toggle levelling of the spell called Wizard's Fury on/off (off by default). Level Items Now!: when clicked any levelled items currently in your inventory will be checked to see if they need upgrading. Installation 1.) Extract "Quest Award Leveller.zip" into your "Bethesda SoftworksOblivionData" folder. 2.) Start the Oblivion Launcher. 3.) Click "Data Files". 4.) Find and tick "Quest Award Leveller.esp" 5.) Click "OK" and the next time you load your game up you'll get an introduction to Quest Award Leveller. 4. Uninstalling 1.) Just delete Quest Award Leveller.esp and your done. 5. Known Issues or Incompatibilities No issues or conflicts are known at this time, you could even run Quest Award Leveller together with Quest Award Leveling with no problems. 6. FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions) Question. Great! Just what I need another item cluttering up my inventory... Is it alright to get rid of it? Answer. It sure is, was designed so you could! Just set the options you want an toss it away, if you every want it back again just open the console via the ~ key and type in startquest QALStartup, you'll get another Quest Award Leveller added to your inventory. Q. Well I'm level 30 and all my items are at there maximum level is it alright to remove/deactivate Quest Award Leveller? A. Yep, it's perfectly safe to remove/deactivate it, alternatively you could just turn off Auto Level and toss the Quest Award Leveller item away (or use it as a decoration) effectively deactivating it. Q. Will you add support for levelled items in the official plugins? A. No unfortunately... the plugin format isn't flexible as it was in Morrowind so support can't added by the Quest Award Leveller plugin or even a separate ESP, only way is to modify the official plugin and I have no plans to do that. Q. Why didn't you just join up with Namegduf Live? A. I wanted to join up with him but he didn't have the time and was busy with other stuff... he did implement my optimizations into v1.6 of Quest Award Leveling through! Q. Will I lose my levelled up items if I remove Quest Award Leveller? A. Nope.
