The idea behind this level was to have big open areas as well
as several intricate buildings, from which there would be lots
of advantage points for the sniper types or those who just enjoy
rocket launcher fragging. I have included several of the basic
weapons (shotgun, 9mmAR etc) throughout the level, one near each
of the spawn points to reduce the amount of time pissing about
with a pistol which I personally hate. If you venture to the
top of the main tower you will find a button which activates the
3 pillboxes below, I always enjoy looking down on others getting
beatings from the safety of the tower until someone comes up
behind me with egon. Another personal favourite of mine is
collecting the snarks and then whipping them down on unsuspecting
victims from the top of the tower. After several hours of gibfest
over a LAN I have found this level is best suited for around 8-12
people. Expect another level from me in the future.
---Update Notes---
If you are familiar with the original Base_Camp you will notice
extra buildings in the cliffside, as well as some more ammo (AR
Grenades and Satchel Charges) and more batteries which the original
lacked. I have also improved the speed and the viewable distance,
and you can no longer 'gauss jump' out of the level.
