INSTALLATION
Open the "fastfile" folder in your Aliens Versus Predator directory and backup the file named "Tex31.ffl" somewhere safe. Then simply replace it with this version and run the game as normal.
NOTES
The idea of this mod was to recreate the "smooth-crested" Alien as seen in the original film "Alien". To this end, I have even attempted to make the new crest translucent - if you look closely (assuming you are not killed too soon), you can actually see through the crest under certain bright lighting conditions at the carapice underneath. Unlike the previous "beta" version, this mod has refined the transparency of the crest as well as making it lighter so it doesn't contrast as much with the rest of the Alien.
It should be also noted that ALL Aliens in the game are affected by this mod. Should you wish to return to the original textures, simply restore the original Tex31.ffl that you backed up.
